Disney’s All-Star Music Resort: A Disney World Resort Review

All-Star Music Resort is, of course, in the “All-Star” family of value resorts. Believe me, “value” does NOT mean this resort is lacking in any way! In fact, this resort has a little secret surprise! We will get to that a little later. All-Star Music resort boasts larger than life musical icons, making this resort not only affordable, but “music to your ears”!

The All-Star Resorts are some of the most “Disney” decorated of all of the resorts on property, making them bright and fun! There are four buildings in the All Star Music Resort: Country Fair, Broadway Hotel, Jazz Inn, Rock Inn and Calypso.

For a few dollars more a night, you may opt for a “preferred” room, which means you will be guaranteed closer to the bus stops and food court. The Calypso building houses the preferred rooms of this resort (building 1 and 10).

Rooms

Rooms at All Star Music are basic value rooms. You will find double beds, dresser, TV, all of the basics that you will need for your stay. There is also a mini fridge for keeping a few things cold. There are two options for rooms here, STANDARD OR PREFERRED.

This resort has a secret! Unlike the other value resort, All Star Music has FAMILY SUITES! These family suites can accommodate up to six adults and one child under the age of three. The main room of these suites will have a couch that turns into a full size bed and an arm chair that will make into a twin size bed. There is also an ottoman that turns into a twin size. There is a separate “master” bedroom that has a queen size bed AND it’s own private bathroom! Yes, you read that right. All Star Music has TWO bathrooms! The other restroom is located in the main room.

Of course all of your “essentials” are there as well. The TV, chest of drawers, everything needed for a comfy stay.

There is also another HUGE bonus to the All Star Music family suites. They have a kitchenette. This is a great way to save money if you would like to prepare some of your meals at the resort. Housekeeping also comes by to replenish and clean up. There’s a coffee maker, microwave, fridge and sink available.Disney's All-Star Music Resort: A Disney World Resort ReviewMelody Hall

Melody Hall is where you will find all of the essentials while on your Disney vacation. From check-in to quick service dining options to grabbing the bus and heading to the parks, you will find it right here.

Intermission Food Court

“March” right into the Intermission food court during your “half-time” to grab some tasty treats! Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available with some great options such as pastas, pizza and burgers. Of course they have cheese fries AND fried pickles.

Recreation and Pools

You will find two pools for relaxing in! The Calypso Pool is the main pool located near Melody Hall. This pool is in the shape of a huge guitar complete with the “Three Caballeros” waiting to splash water on you! Located in front of the Country Fair buildings is where you will find the “piano pool”.Disney's All-Star Music Resort: A Disney World Resort Review

Tips

  • All three of the All Star Resorts are very close together. This simply means that you can easily walk to the other resorts’ bus stops and food courts. Don’t be shy, walk to a neighboring resort to eat at another quick service restaurant or swim at another pool.
  • Be sure to leave in plenty of time for dining and other “timed” events. This resort will sometimes share it’s bus service with the other All Star Resorts and sometimes takes a little longer to get to your destination.
