Walt Express is super excited to bring you up to the minute, breaking news from Walt Disney World. You will find anything you need to know right here in Breaking News: 2017 Disney Dining Plan.
2017 brings a few changes to the Disney Dining Plans. This year, the changes are mainly about SNACKS!!! 2017 dining plans will no longer offer a dessert on the quick service credits. Do not despair, because Disney World is giving you an extra snack credit in its place. Everyone on the dining plan will now have two snack credits to use as they choose. The other notable change is that the premium and platinum plans will no longer be available.
The Disney Dining Plans use a “credits” system. You receive credits to be used for your meals, which are accessible by scanning your magic band. Most meals are one credit. However, there are a few meals that are two credits.
Disney Dining Plans will NOW include the following and are per person, per night of stay:
The Quick Service Plan-2 quick service meals (entrée and drink), 2 snacks and 1 refillable resort drink mug.
The Disney Dining Plan-The -1 quick service meal (entrée and drink),1 table service meal (entrée, drink and dessert), 2 snacks and 1 refillable resort drink mug.
Deluxe Dining-3 meals (table or quick service), 2 snacks and 1 refillable resort drink mug. The deluxe dining plan will still consist of an appetizer and dessert for table service meals.
Things to keep in mind:
- Disney Dining plans are ONLY available for guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort.
- Gratuities are not included unless indicated. A 18% gratuity will be added for parties of 6 or more.
- Popular restaurants book quickly. Make your dining reservations up to 180 days in advance by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE or on My Disney Experience.
- If dining credits are not used in entirety each day, the credits will “roll over” to the next day. They will expire on your check out day at midnight.
